A roadmap for your nationality
Turkish citizenship for Sudanese families: invest in your children's future
The Ottoman-era buildings of Suakin, on Sudan's eastern coast, quietly witness the history Sudan and Türkiye share. Today that bond grows stronger through education and family life. You can apply for Turkish citizenship with a USD 400,000 property purchase or a USD 500,000 investment in funds, a bank deposit or government bonds, and add your spouse and children under 18 to the same file.

Why Türkiye for Sudanese investors
A shared heritage from Suakin
Suakin's coral-stone Ottoman houses and mosques recall a relationship between two peoples that goes back centuries. A shared faith, similar family values and the same sense of hospitality help Sudanese families feel at home in Türkiye within a short time.
Strong education for your children
Many universities in Türkiye offer programmes taught in English, with wide choices in medicine, engineering and business. Sudanese students have studied at Turkish universities for many years. Your children can continue their education at good schools, within a safe and orderly city life.
A familiar community in Istanbul
A lively community of Sudanese families, students and businesspeople lives in Istanbul and Ankara. Arabic-speaking neighbourhoods, familiar food and bonds of friendship make it easier to settle into a new city. Your family does not start alone; it joins familiar faces.
A hub between Africa and Europe
Istanbul Airport is a major transfer hub with connections to many cities across Africa, Europe and the Gulf. Running business ties that stretch from Khartoum to Port Sudan from Istanbul, and planning trade and family visits from one base, becomes practical.
Two investment routes to Turkish citizenship
Real estate: USD 400,000
Buy property worth at least USD 400,000 and keep it for 3 years. You can use it as a home for your family or rent it out.
Fund, deposit or bonds: USD 500,000
Invest USD 500,000 in eligible real estate or venture capital funds, a deposit at a bank in Türkiye or government bonds, and keep the investment for 3 years.
The process for Sudanese applicants
A first call in your language: goals, route (property or fund), budget and family composition.
Document preparation at home: legalisation and translation.
Bank account in Türkiye and traceable transfer of the investment amount.
Investment execution: property purchase with valuation and title deed, or fund unit purchase with MKK blockage.
Conformity certificate, investor residence permit and the citizenship application.
Decision and passport issuance; family members included in the same file.
Practical notes for Sudanese applicants
Sudan uses consular legalisation for official documents: the issuing authority, the Sudan ministry of foreign affairs and then the Turkish consulate. Our investor relations team coordinates these steps with you.
The investment is sent from Sudan by traceable bank transfer to your account in Türkiye. Keep the bank records and the exchange certificate, because they are part of the application file.
Sudan has its own rules on holding another citizenship. Our investor relations team goes through them with you before you apply, so your plan fits both countries.

Frequently asked
Which investment route can I apply through?
There are two routes: buying property worth USD 400,000, or placing USD 500,000 in eligible funds, a bank deposit or government bonds. In both cases the investment is held for 3 years, and our team helps you choose the one that suits you.
Can my children and spouse become citizens as well?
Yes. Your spouse and children under 18 can be added to the same application file. With a single investment your whole family applies for Turkish citizenship, and your children can plan their studies in Türkiye with ease.
Do I have to move to Türkiye?
No. Citizenship by investment has no residence requirement in Türkiye, and you do not need to speak Turkish. You can settle in Türkiye with your family, or simply come and go for holidays, studies or business. The choice is entirely yours.
How are documents from Sudan legalised for a Turkish application?
By consular legalisation: documents from Sudan are legalised through the consulate.
