Why Türkiye for Moroccan investors
From hammam to bazaar
The narrow lanes of the Fez medina and Istanbul's Grand Bazaar share the same market culture. The hammam tradition, long tea gatherings and a love of fine craftsmanship are part of life in both countries. Families who watch Turkish series in Morocco know Istanbul's streets from day one.
Opportunities from free trade
The free trade agreement between Türkiye and Morocco, in force for many years, makes commerce between the two countries easier. For Moroccan importers, exporters and entrepreneurs, Istanbul is a strong business hub close to suppliers in textiles, food and building materials.
Direct flights from Casablanca
Direct flights link Casablanca and Istanbul, and the journey takes a few hours. Visiting family for a weekend, flying in for a business meeting or taking a holiday is easy. As a Turkish citizen, you plan every trip on your own schedule, with no visa to think about on arrival.
A calm life on the Aegean
Aegean towns such as Izmir, Çeşme and Kuşadası, with their mild climate, fresh seafood and relaxed pace, suit families who love life on the Atlantic coast. A home bought for retirement or summer stays can also serve as your citizenship investment.
Two investment routes to Turkish citizenship
Real estate: USD 400,000
Buy property worth at least USD 400,000 and keep it for 3 years. You can use it as a home for your family or rent it out.
Fund, deposit or bonds: USD 500,000
Invest USD 500,000 in eligible real estate or venture capital funds, a deposit at a bank in Türkiye or government bonds, and keep the investment for 3 years.
The process for Moroccan applicants
A first call in your language: goals, route (property or fund), budget and family composition.
Document preparation at home: legalisation and translation.
Bank account in Türkiye and traceable transfer of the investment amount.
Investment execution: property purchase with valuation and title deed, or fund unit purchase with MKK blockage.
Conformity certificate, investor residence permit and the citizenship application.
Decision and passport issuance; family members included in the same file.
Practical notes for Moroccan applicants
Morocco is a party to the Hague Apostille Convention (in force since 2016). Birth and marriage certificates and the police clearance certificate are apostilled at home and then translated by a sworn translator in Türkiye.
The investment is sent from Morocco by traceable bank transfer to your account in Türkiye. Keep the bank records and the exchange certificate, because they are part of the application file.
Morocco allows its citizens to hold another citizenship alongside their own.

Frequently asked
Do I need to speak Turkish to become a citizen?
No. There is no Turkish language requirement for citizenship by investment. Our investor relations team can work with you in Arabic, French or English, and document translation is planned as a normal step of the process.
Can my children be included in the application?
Yes. Your children under 18 and your spouse can be part of the same application file. The investment is made once, and the documents for each family member are prepared with our team, one by one, from a simple checklist.
What happens to my investment after 3 years?
Once the 3-year holding period ends, the decision is entirely yours. You can sell the property, keep renting it out or use it with your family. The fund, deposit or bond investment can likewise be managed as you choose.
How are documents from Morocco legalised for a Turkish application?
By apostille: Morocco is a party to the Apostille Convention (in force since 2016).
