A roadmap for your nationality
Turkish citizenship for Uzbek families at the Silk Road's western gate
The Silk Road has linked Samarkand and Bukhara with Istanbul for centuries. Today that same link can become Turkish citizenship through a USD 400,000 property purchase or a USD 500,000 investment in funds, deposits or government bonds. Shared Turkic roots, a related language and similar family values make Türkiye a natural choice for investors from Uzbekistan. Our investor relations team supports you throughout.

Why Türkiye for Uzbekistani investors
Shared roots, related language
Uzbek and Turkish belong to the same language family, so many words and expressions sound familiar. Both countries are members of the Organization of Turkic States, and that cultural closeness shows in everyday life, helping you settle in quickly.
Direct flights from Tashkent
Direct flights connect Tashkent and Istanbul, and the journey takes just a few hours. Your family can stay in Uzbekistan while you travel easily between your home, your business and your children's school in Türkiye.
A trade hub facing Europe
For Uzbek entrepreneurs in textiles, food or construction, Istanbul is a strong base for reaching markets in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. As a Turkish citizen, setting up a company, opening accounts and running partnerships becomes far simpler.
High standards in healthcare
Türkiye's large cities have well-equipped private hospitals and experienced specialist doctors. Being close to good medical care for your parents and your children gives the whole family genuine peace of mind for the years ahead.
Two investment routes to Turkish citizenship
Real estate: USD 400,000
Buy property worth at least USD 400,000 and keep it for 3 years. You can use it as a home for your family or rent it out.
Fund, deposit or bonds: USD 500,000
Invest USD 500,000 in eligible real estate or venture capital funds, a deposit at a bank in Türkiye or government bonds, and keep the investment for 3 years.
The process for Uzbekistani applicants
A first call in your language: goals, route (property or fund), budget and family composition.
Document preparation at home: legalisation and translation.
Bank account in Türkiye and traceable transfer of the investment amount.
Investment execution: property purchase with valuation and title deed, or fund unit purchase with MKK blockage.
Conformity certificate, investor residence permit and the citizenship application.
Decision and passport issuance; family members included in the same file.
Practical notes for Uzbekistani applicants
Uzbekistan is a party to the Hague Apostille Convention (in force since 2012). Birth and marriage certificates and the police clearance certificate are apostilled at home and then translated by a sworn translator in Türkiye.
The investment is sent from Uzbekistan by traceable bank transfer to your account in Türkiye. Keep the bank records and the exchange certificate, because they are part of the application file.
Uzbekistan has its own rules on holding another citizenship. Our investor relations team goes through them with you before you apply, so your plan fits both countries.
Documents typically requested
- Valid passport for each applicant
- Birth certificates and, for spouses, the marriage certificate
- Police clearance certificate for the main applicant and spouse
- Biometric photographs
- Proof of the investment (title deed and valuation, or fund conformity certificate)
- Bank records showing the foreign exchange transfer and the exchange certificate
- Health insurance for the residence permit stage
Frequently asked
Do I need to speak Turkish?
No. Türkiye has no language requirement for citizenship by investment. As an Uzbek speaker you will probably find yourself understanding Turkish quite soon, and our team communicates with you clearly at every stage.
Can I choose a fund instead of property?
Yes. Instead of USD 400,000 in property, you can invest USD 500,000 in an eligible fund, a bank deposit or government bonds. We compare both routes with you in our first conversation.
Can my parents join the same file?
The same application covers your spouse and children under 18. Parents or adult children can be planned for separately, and our team works out the most suitable approach based on your family's situation.
How are documents from Uzbekistan legalised for a Turkish application?
By apostille: Uzbekistan is a party to the Apostille Convention (in force since 2012).
