Turkish citizenship for Russian families with a home by the sea

Every year, Russian families choose Türkiye's coast for its warm sea, long summers and easy hospitality, and many already feel at home there. Winvest Passport helps Russian investors turn that feeling into Turkish citizenship through a USD 400,000 property purchase or a USD 500,000 investment in funds, a bank deposit or government bonds, held for 3 years.

Why Türkiye for Russian investors

A Russian-speaking coastline

Antalya, Alanya and Side are home to a large Russian-speaking community. You will find Russian-speaking shops, clinics, kindergartens and neighbours, which makes daily life simple for older parents and young children alike.

Sun for most of the year

The Mediterranean coast enjoys long warm seasons and mild winters, with swimming from late spring well into autumn. For many Russian families, a home here means more sunny days, fresh fruit and an easy, outdoor pace of life.

Flights from many cities

Direct flights connect Moscow, Saint Petersburg and many other Russian cities with Istanbul and Antalya. A short holiday, a visit to relatives or a business trip takes only a few hours, without long transfers on the way.

Two routes for your family

Invest USD 400,000 in property or USD 500,000 in funds, a deposit or government bonds, and keep it for 3 years. Your spouse and children under 18 are added to your file, and our investor relations team guides the paperwork.

Two investment routes to Turkish citizenship

Real estate: USD 400,000

Buy property worth at least USD 400,000 and keep it for 3 years. You can use it as a home for your family or rent it out.

Fund, deposit or bonds: USD 500,000

Invest USD 500,000 in eligible real estate or venture capital funds, a deposit at a bank in Türkiye or government bonds, and keep the investment for 3 years.

Not sure which route fits you? Start your personal roadmap with the form on this page; our investor relations team will go through both routes with you.

The process for Russian applicants

  1. A first call in your language: goals, route (property or fund), budget and family composition.

  2. Document preparation at home: legalisation and translation.

  3. Bank account in Türkiye and traceable transfer of the investment amount.

  4. Investment execution: property purchase with valuation and title deed, or fund unit purchase with MKK blockage.

  5. Conformity certificate, investor residence permit and the citizenship application.

  6. Decision and passport issuance; family members included in the same file.

Practical notes for Russian applicants

Russia is a party to the Hague Apostille Convention (in force since 1992). Birth and marriage certificates and the police clearance certificate are apostilled at home and then translated by a sworn translator in Türkiye.

The investment is sent from Russia by traceable bank transfer to your account in Türkiye. Keep the bank records and the exchange certificate, because they are part of the application file.

Russia allows its citizens to hold another citizenship alongside their own.

Documents typically requested

  • Valid passport for each applicant
  • Birth certificates and, for spouses, the marriage certificate
  • Police clearance certificate for the main applicant and spouse
  • Biometric photographs
  • Proof of the investment (title deed and valuation, or fund conformity certificate)
  • Bank records showing the foreign exchange transfer and the exchange certificate
  • Health insurance for the residence permit stage

Frequently asked

Will I find Russian-speaking services in Türkiye?

Yes, especially in Antalya, Alanya and Istanbul. Russian-speaking shops, clinics, estate agencies and private kindergartens are part of everyday life there, so settling in feels comfortable even before you learn any Turkish.

Can I split my year between Russia and Türkiye?

Absolutely. Türkiye sets no residence requirement for citizenship by investment. You can spend winter on the Mediterranean and summer at home, or choose any rhythm that suits your family and your work.

Can I choose a seaside home as my investment?

Yes. Any qualifying property worth at least USD 400,000 can be used, including homes on the coast. You keep it for 3 years and can then sell it, keep it or pass it on to your children.

How are documents from Russia legalised for a Turkish application?

By apostille: Russia is a party to the Apostille Convention (in force since 1992).
