A roadmap for your nationality

Turkish citizenship for Omani families: a peaceful second home in Türkiye

Omani families who value calm, nature and close family life find a familiar way of living in Türkiye. Green mountains, healing hot springs and a mosque in every neighbourhood are part of that everyday closeness. You can apply for Turkish citizenship with a USD 400,000 property purchase or a USD 500,000 investment in funds, a bank deposit or government bonds, and build a peaceful second home for your family.

Why Türkiye for Omani investors

Direct flights from Muscat

Direct flights link Muscat and Istanbul, so Türkiye is a few hours away. From Istanbul Airport, connections to Bursa, Trabzon or Antalya are simple. As a Turkish citizen you never think about a visa when you arrive, and you decide how long to stay.

Green mountains and hot springs

Bursa's forested slopes and its thermal springs, famous for centuries, together with the quiet lakes of Bolu, offer a calm that families who love Oman's mountain villages will recognise. These regions are ideal for spending summer in cool air, close to nature and away from crowds.

A life that honours tradition

In Türkiye, family life, hospitality and good neighbourliness are still deeply valued. Halal food is simply everywhere, and the call to prayer is part of the rhythm of the day. Omani families feel at ease knowing their children can grow up close to their own values.

A second home that earns

A home in Antalya or Alanya becomes your own place to rest in a mild winter climate. In the months you are away, you can rent it out and earn income. Your citizenship investment then also becomes an enjoyable, productive property for the whole family.

Two investment routes to Turkish citizenship

Real estate: USD 400,000

Buy property worth at least USD 400,000 and keep it for 3 years. You can use it as a home for your family or rent it out.

Fund, deposit or bonds: USD 500,000

Invest USD 500,000 in eligible real estate or venture capital funds, a deposit at a bank in Türkiye or government bonds, and keep the investment for 3 years.

Not sure which route fits you? Start your personal roadmap with the form on this page; our investor relations team will go through both routes with you.

The process for Omani applicants

  1. A first call in your language: goals, route (property or fund), budget and family composition.

  2. Document preparation at home: legalisation and translation.

  3. Bank account in Türkiye and traceable transfer of the investment amount.

  4. Investment execution: property purchase with valuation and title deed, or fund unit purchase with MKK blockage.

  5. Conformity certificate, investor residence permit and the citizenship application.

  6. Decision and passport issuance; family members included in the same file.

Practical notes for Omani applicants

Oman is a party to the Hague Apostille Convention (in force since 2012). Birth and marriage certificates and the police clearance certificate are apostilled at home and then translated by a sworn translator in Türkiye.

The investment is sent from Oman by traceable bank transfer to your account in Türkiye. Keep the bank records and the exchange certificate, because they are part of the application file.

Oman has its own rules on holding another citizenship. Our investor relations team goes through them with you before you apply, so your plan fits both countries.

Documents typically requested

  • Valid passport for each applicant
  • Birth certificates and, for spouses, the marriage certificate
  • Police clearance certificate for the main applicant and spouse
  • Biometric photographs
  • Proof of the investment (title deed and valuation, or fund conformity certificate)
  • Bank records showing the foreign exchange transfer and the exchange certificate
  • Health insurance for the residence permit stage

Frequently asked

Can I rent the home out when I am not using it?

Yes. You may rent out the property you buy for citizenship, and it stays in your name. The one point to keep in mind is holding the property for 3 years without selling it. A rental agreement does not affect this condition.

How does the application process begin?

The first step is a short conversation with our investor relations team. We talk about your family, your budget and your preferred route. Then we prepare a personal roadmap and document list, and move through each step with you, in order.

Who in my family can be included?

Your spouse and children under 18 can be placed in the same file as the main applicant. The investment is made once and covers the whole family. Our team follows up on the documents needed for each family member on your behalf.

How are documents from Oman legalised for a Turkish application?

By apostille: Oman is a party to the Apostille Convention (in force since 2012).
