A roadmap for your nationality
Turkish citizenship for Iranian families, just across the border
Iran and Türkiye are neighbours joined by open roads and centuries of shared poetry, music and food. Many Iranian families already spend Nowruz in Van, Istanbul or Antalya. Winvest Passport helps you turn that bond into Turkish citizenship, with a USD 400,000 property purchase or a USD 500,000 fund, deposit or bond investment, held for 3 years.

- Your documents and process steps are explained for your case.

Why Türkiye for Iranian investors
A heritage you share
Rumi rests in Konya, and his Persian verses are loved across Türkiye. Nowruz is celebrated here as Nevruz, and tea, rice and kebabs appear on both tables. Many Iranian visitors feel at home here from their very first day.
Close by road and air
You can drive from Tabriz to Van in a day, or fly directly from Tehran and other Iranian cities to Istanbul. Short trips for shopping, a medical visit or a family holiday fit easily into any season.
A community in Istanbul and Ankara
Iranian professionals, students and business owners are part of city life in Istanbul, Ankara and Van. Persian can be heard in cafés, shops and universities, which helps newcomers build friendships and business contacts quickly.
Routes for the whole family
Choose a property of at least USD 400,000 or USD 500,000 in funds, a deposit or bonds, and hold it for 3 years. Your spouse and children under 18 can be added to your file, with no residence or Turkish language requirement.
Two investment routes to Turkish citizenship
Real estate: USD 400,000
Buy property worth at least USD 400,000 and keep it for 3 years. You can use it as a home for your family or rent it out.
Fund, deposit or bonds: USD 500,000
Invest USD 500,000 in eligible real estate or venture capital funds, a deposit at a bank in Türkiye or government bonds, and keep the investment for 3 years.
The process for Iranian applicants
A first call in your language: goals, route (property or fund), budget and family composition.
Document preparation at home: legalisation and translation.
Bank account in Türkiye and traceable transfer of the investment amount.
Investment execution: property purchase with valuation and title deed, or fund unit purchase with MKK blockage.
Conformity certificate, investor residence permit and the citizenship application.
Decision and passport issuance; family members included in the same file.
Practical notes for Iranian applicants
Iran uses consular legalisation for official documents: the issuing authority, the Iran ministry of foreign affairs and then the Turkish consulate. Our investor relations team coordinates these steps with you.
The investment is sent from Iran by traceable bank transfer to your account in Türkiye. Keep the bank records and the exchange certificate, because they are part of the application file.
Iran has its own rules on holding another citizenship. Our investor relations team goes through them with you before you apply, so your plan fits both countries.
Documents typically requested
- Valid passport for each applicant
- Birth certificates and, for spouses, the marriage certificate
- Police clearance certificate for the main applicant and spouse
- Biometric photographs
- Proof of the investment (title deed and valuation, or fund conformity certificate)
- Bank records showing the foreign exchange transfer and the exchange certificate
- Health insurance for the residence permit stage
Frequently asked
Can I travel to Türkiye by car from Iran?
Yes. Several land border crossings connect the two countries, and many Iranian families drive to Van, Erzurum or further west. As a Turkish citizen, you enter Türkiye freely by land or air, whenever you like.
Can my children study at Turkish universities?
Yes. As Turkish citizens, your children apply to Turkish schools and universities like any other citizen. Istanbul and Ankara are home to well-known universities, and many programmes are taught in English.
Can I sell my property later?
Yes. After the 3-year holding period, the property is yours to sell, keep or let. If you choose the fund, deposit or bond route, you exit under the terms of that product once the 3 years end.
How are documents from Iran legalised for a Turkish application?
By consular legalisation: documents from Iran are legalised through the consulate.
