Spouse and children: who one investment covers
Short answer
One qualifying investment covers your whole core family. That means you, your foreign spouse, and the minor or dependent children of you and your spouse. This is written in Turkish Citizenship Law No. 5901, article 12(1)(b). You invest once, and your family becomes Turkish citizens with you.

Who is included
You, as the investor.
Your foreign spouse.
Your children who are minors, meaning under 18, or who are dependent on you.
Your spouse’s children who are minors or dependent. The law names “the minor or dependent foreign child of the person and of the spouse”.
One investment amount covers everyone. The threshold is set for the investment, not per person. See the programme overview.
Adult children who depend on you
The law also includes children who are dependent, not only minors. If an adult child depends on you, tell us early and we will prepare that part of the file with you.
Papers for your family
A birth certificate or civil registry record showing your family ties with your spouse and children.
Your marriage certificate, or the civil-status document that fits your situation.

Common questions
Is my spouse included?
Yes. Law 5901 article 12(1)(b) includes the investor’s foreign spouse.
Are my spouse’s children from a previous marriage included?
Yes, if they are minors or dependent. The law covers the children of the investor and of the spouse.
Do I need a separate investment for each family member?
No. The official threshold applies to the investment, not per person.
Are my adult children included?
